Ayurveda Workshops

Ayurveda, the 5000 year-old healing science founded in ancient India, is derived from the Sanskrit words “ayus” meaning life or longevity and “veda” meaning knowledge or wisdom.

To describe Ayurveda as a mere science overlooks the fact that it is one of the most nurturing and preventive systems of all of the different mind/body healing methods. With conscious food that address our particular body type, gentle cleansing and exercise, and luxurious oil massages, we have the tools to heal ourselves and literally create a healthy radiance that makes us attractive to others.

By observing the very simple, wise Ayurvedic principles, a life of purpose, happiness, vitality and love are attainable.

From the all-encompassing Ayurvedic perspective, human beings are not simply viewed as thinking, physical beings, but are a combination of subtle fields of energy and intelligence in constant exchange with the forces of the environment. Health can be attained when we tune in to create a vibrant balance of all the conscious and unconscious, physical and metaphysical dimensions of our lives.

Inspired by Deepak Chopra MD, The Creating Health Workshop is based on his best selling book Perfect Health. The workshop includes the brilliant five-lesson course for achieving equilibrium of mind body and spirit. This total Lifestyle Program teaches students a powerful regimen of Ayurvedic practices that re-awaken the senses and reduce emotional turbulence by knowing how to anticipate and release unhealthy emotions in a healthy way without building up in our physiology. When our bodies and minds are in balance, we can make sound, nourishing choices that allow us to achieve the health and lifestyle changes we are seeking.

The Creating Health Workshop is presented in five lessons that you will learn:

1. The basics of Ayurveda, meditation and yoga and the three primary bio-energies or mind/body types of Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

2. How to select and use the most nourishing foods for your particular body type which helps you to access optimum digestion and appropriate body weight.

3. How to renew your body every day by eliminating toxins and performing gentle rejuvenation techniques.

4. How to use your senses to access the body’s inner pharmacy to maintain balance, nourish and heal.

5. How to undergo an emotional cleansing process to release stored toxic emotions with the goal of clarifying your thinking so you can identify and fulfill you true desires.
