Individual Yoga Instruction
in Metro Atlanta

After taking yoga classes for six years, my teacher informed me she was going to India for two months and she wanted me to teach some of her classes while she was away. In 2007, I was hired by L.A. Fitness to teach Yoga and I began an intense six-month Yoga teacher training at the Kashi Ashram in the Candler Park area. Upon completing my training I began teaching at several L.A.Fitness locations around the North Atlanta. The type of yoga that I teach is the original, ancient method of Hatha yoga inspired by all my wonderful teachers. There are many new styles and methods of yoga, but I feel Hatha yoga is the one that has the most wisdom and integrity for my students. Yoga was created as gentle exercise to oxygenate, energize, and relax the body.

In all of my sessions, individual or group, my focus is on meeting the needs of the individual. One I determine their strengths and weaknesses; I suggest a series of postures and movements that bring awareness, oxygen, and energy to the needed areas.

I believe that yoga is truly God’s most perfect exercise suitable for everyone because the emphasis is on the individual proceeding at his or her own pace. For this reason, it is particularly appropriate for senior citizens and those who have not previously been engaged in any kind of exercise.

My own gentle approach targets both the areas that need to be stretched and the areas that need to be strengthened. The qualities flexibility, strength, and balance are equally important to develop in a yoga practice. I give particular attention to my client’s postures so they will heighten the awareness of their body and achieve maximum results.

I am available for individual and group lessons in the Metro Atlanta area.
